"Le Milieu", a podcast by the Calliopé Agency

In this episode, I went to interview Max. Well, Max - believe it or not - is a building.

I met Max at a friend's birthday party. And during the evening I found myself in a conversation where he was describing to me and others, the gay scene, of which he is a part.

Listening to him, I couldn't help wondering: what does he mean by "the" gay milieu? How can there be only one gay milieu? And then: where are his other circles? At the end of the evening, I asked Max if he'd be willing to talk about his circles into a microphone.

He was a little surprised at first, but eventually got back to me to say he'd be happy to answer my questions. He arranged to meet me one weekday evening at his home, where he was waiting for me with a bottle of rosé...
